A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She went to Heaven 3:20 am on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Flannery Oaks Guest House in Baton Rouge. She was 88, a native of Vicksburg, MS and resided in Baton Rouge most of her life. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, with Chaplin Rick Brunson officiating. Zellene is survived by her daughter, Debra Johnson; sons, Donald R. Tyson (Dawn) and Darren L. Tyson; grandchildren, Kaci Anderson, Dana Brossette, Kyle Tyson, Ralee Tyson, Nicholas Tyson, Jackson Tyson, Sarah Tyson; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Tyson, Jr.; sister, Ruth Dailey; brother, Donald W. Moak; grandson, Steven Johnson; son-in-law, Robby Johnson; parents, Clemmie and Clarence Moak. She was a faithful member of Jefferson Baptist Church and sang in the choir for many years with her beautiful soprano voice. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
