Irma Leblanc Borne

Daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, a woman who loved well and was well loved. Irma Marie LeBlanc Borne gained her wings on September 15, 2023, at the age of 85.

Irma was the daughter of Joby and Bernice LeBlanc, devoted wife of Lawrence J. Borne Jr. “Larry” of 44 years, caring mother of Lawrence J. Borne III “Sonny” (Cathy), Greg Borne (Sherry), Lola Kinler, Matt Borne, loving grandmother of Jared Borne (Lisa), Kelly Lanoux (Thomas), Dustin Borne (Stephanie), Amber Vizinat (Landon), Bridget Kinler, Brooke Coxe (Jordan), Tiffany Shelby (Abel), Alexis Borne-Hymel, and great-grandmother of 10. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, and son, Matt.

Irma was known for her beautiful hair and even had the nickname of “Blondie.” You could always find her on the dance floor, jitterbugging. She was a true dancing queen. Her hobbies were reading, fishing, watching birds, and growing flowers. She never turned down spending time with those she loved. We will miss her witty jokes, sayings, her hugs, kisses, and I love you’ s. We are at peace with God calling her home because we know, “this old bird was ready.”

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by the funeral mass at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, LA. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.Serving as pallbearers: Jared Borne, Dustin Borne, Lawson Borne, Thomas Lanoux III, Lane Vizinat, and Jordan Coxe.
