Jake A. Menard

Jake A. Menard, born in Lafayette, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the age of 36.  Jake was a kind and generous person, who would do anything to help anyone he could.  Jake was an amazing cook, specializing in Cajun dishes.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, going to the casino, going to the beach, concerts and had a deep love for animals.  Jake will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Jake is survived by his sisters, Nicole Thibeaux (James) and Ashley Dunn; grandmother, Neda Stelly; stepmother, Martha Menard; aunt and uncle, Lori Trahan (Larry) and Mike Menard; nieces and nephews, Cadence, Cameron, Aiden, Kya, Aaron; cousins, Hallie Menard, Chris Menard, Ryan and Ross Trahan and his beloved dog, Sophie.  He is preceded in death by parents, Kim Stelly and Ronald Menard; grandparents, Lawrence Stelly, Thomas and Elsie Menard; great-grandparents, Nickes and Adele Stelly; great-great grandparents, Ella Sellers and Lucile Comeaux.  A private memorial service to celebrate Jake’s life will be held at a later date.  To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.churchfuneralservices.com .  Arrangements entrusted with Church Funeral Services of Baton Rouge.
