James Roddy Layton “Rooster”

James passed away at his home in Torbert, LA on July 10th, 2023. He is survived by his daughters Nicole Buttigieg (Luke), Jennifer Barbier (Danny) and his son Shawn Layton. Grandkids Adam Layton, Sam Buttigieg, Connor Buttigieg, Daniel Barbier, Aiden Barbier and Taylor Layton. His sisters Holley Thompson (JT), Camille Barilleaux (Hunter) and Dion Nelson. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Margery Contine’ Layton and Ernest Layton, Brother Daniel Layton. He worked for the teamsters Union for many years as a driver on movie sets and pipelines. Something he was very proud of. He loved to fish and cook those were his favorite hobbies. He will be missed by all that loved him. Forever in our hearts.
