James Wayne (J Wayne) Carroll
James Wayne (J Wayne) Carroll, born August 18, 1961, left his earthly home on May 1, 2022 to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Walker. He was a 1980 graduate of Tara High School and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Walker. He enjoyed attending other services in person and online. He had a great personality and never met a stranger and loved by so many. James had a special talent in small leather crafting, small engine repair, woodwork and painting.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Erin Higginbotham Carroll; three sisters, Cecilia Jones and husband Skip, Kaye Carroll and Pam Harlan; a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Daniel Carroll; mother, Marian Lewis Carroll; brother, Andy Carroll.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at OLOL Medical Center for their services, close friends Louis Lathan, David Waters, Tracy Fontenot and Nancy Badeaux for the visits and phone calls.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Don Avenue Baptist Church, 1010 Don Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726 on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 6:00pm. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until time of service.
