Janis Lynne Gover

Janis Lynne Gover, a native of Jacksonville, TX and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the age of 72.  After many years of service, Janis retired from the state government.  She was an avid reader and sports enthusiast.  Janis is survived by her sister, Charlotte Matherne (Jerome); nephews and niece, Kyle Matherne, Tyler Matherne, and Caitlin Elrod (Norman); great nephew, Rusty Elrod.  Janis is preceded in death by her parents, Walter L, Sr. and Helen Prestriedge Gover; brothers, Walter L.
