Jayden Renee Pettit was born on November 19, 2002 in Baton Rouge, La. and passed from this life on January 9, 2024. But our loss is Heaven's gain and she is now safe in the arms of Jesus. Jayden was our angel face. She was always full of smiles and laughs and lit up whatever room she walked into. Jayden was the most caring, giving, and kind natured person you could ever meet. She was compassionate and empathetic to a fault and carried others pain as if it were her own. Jayden was a 2021 graduate of East Ascension High School. She loved to work with children and the elderly and her passing is truly a loss to this world. Oh, and she absolutely loved ducks!
Jayden is survived by her father, Joseph (Joey) Pettit of Gonzales, La.; her mother, Brittney Barrileaux of Alexandria, La.; her sisters, Julianna Pettit, Jori Fulton, Baylianna Metrejean, and Brynnlea Metrejean; her brothers, Joseph Pettit, Liam Pettit, and Abel Pettit. She is also survived by her grandparents, Jeff and Susan Pettit, Susan Metrejean, and Keith Pharis; uncle, Keith Pharis, Jr. (Al'jai), and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Judy and Roland Metrejean, Ann and Cliff Manning, and Jody and Hugh Pettit.
