Jeffrey “Jeff” Morris

Jeffrey “Jeff” Morris, 71, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Mary Beth, and their three children, Jeff, Michelle (Jay) Thompson, and Matt (Ashley). He is also survived by six grandchildren: Andrew, Chelsea, Connor, Reid, Mackenzie, and Brynn.  He was born on June 10, 1948 to the late Henry and Katherine Morris of Lake Station, Indiana and leaves behind his beloved sister, Charlene. He loved his country and served with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service but was a machinist by trade and always an entrepreneur at heart. He loved his Lord, had a passion for sharing the Gospel, and used his talents to serve alongside his beloved church family at First New Testament Church.  Visitation will be held at First New Testament Church, 3235 Aubin Lane, Baton Rouge on Saturday, August 10 from 9:00am – 11:00am followed by an 11am service. Graveside service with Military Honors will be provided for the family on Monday August 12, 2019 at Louisiana National Cemetery.
