Jimmie Maurice Hebert, 84, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was a native and resident of St. Amant. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working in his sheds. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Bercegeay Hebert; father, Alex Hebert; mother, Ella Lambert Bercegeay; and daughter-in-law Linda Hebert. He is survived by his sons, Steve (Debra), Darren (Maureen), Dwayne (Wendy); and daughter, Lynette (Robert) Starkey; brother, Alvin Hebert; brother-in-law, Fabian (Cheryl) Bercegeay; sister-in-law, Nell Bercegeay; grandchildren, Hollie, Heather, Dustin, David, Curt, Adam, Colby, Shelby and Celine; step-grandchildren Jason, Courtney and Blake; 18 great grandchildren, and 2 step-great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Mass will begin at 11:30 with burial following in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David, Curt, Dustin, Adam, Colby and Eric; honorary pallbearers will be Alvin Hebert, Alton Rouyea and Edmond Lambert. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the ALS Association. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Aguillard for his loving care for many years. Also, thank you to Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge for their kindness and loving care at our time of need.
