John Victoran "V.J." Roddy

John Victoran “VJ” Roddy, 77 years of age, passed on Friday, December 15, 2024, at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. 
VJ was born September 21, 1947 in Gonzales, LA to the late Joseph and Almie Roddy. He was a commercial construction worker in Gonzales, LA. He loved any ranch related tasks; horseback riding, cattle herding and horse training. 

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Jr. “Teet” and Gary Roddy. 

Survived by two brothers, Brace and Ray “T-Boo” Roddy and one sister, Myrzer “Ann” Barney. He is survived by a son, Wade Roddy and two daughters, Lynn Woods and Tabitha Betteridge. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at Household of Faith Church Mt. Zion, (17683 Hwy 933, Prairieville, LA). Public visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by services at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
