Joseph Arvil Poche Sr. was born on August 15, 1936, in Lompoc, California and passed from this life on November 13, 2022, at The Crossing Hospice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 86 years. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, served in the Army National Guard, as well as, the U S Army, where he was stationed in Nance, France, and was a member of the Catholic Faith. He served on the management staff with State National and Union National Life Insurance Companies, a career spanning fifty years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lancelot and Beatrice Powers Poche. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Wanda Glenn Poche, his son, Joey Poche, brother Kenneth Poche (Juliette), grandchildren, Sarah Poche, Katelynn Poche McIntyre (Brad), and Kaden Poche (Karely), three great-grandchildren, nephews Eric Poche (Vicki), Kevin Poche (JoAnne), and Timothy Poche (Gwen), niece Katie Poche Turner (Steve), as well as a host of great nieces and great nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday December 1, 2022, at Resthaven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Baton Rouge.
