Joseph "Joey" M. David

Joseph “Joey” M. David of Baton Rouge passed away at his home on November 4, 2024, at the age of 70. Joey was a graduate of Redemptorist High School and retired after 45 Years of service at Michael David Painting Contractors. 

 Joey is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Bickett David, father, Alvin David Sr.; sisters, Diane Norris and Judy Morel. 

 Joey is survived by his wife of 48 years, Melanie Brown David; daughters, Hayley Trahan (Adam) and Brogan Walker (Wesley); grandsons, Reed Trahan and Finn Trahan, Gage Lantier and Landon Walker; brothers, Alvin David, Jr. (Frances), Michael David (Loretta) and Jerry David (Robbie). 

 Everyone who knew Joey knew of his love for fishing and watching the tigers. Outside of spending his days on Belle River, his most treasured activity was spending time with his grandsons. Joey was giving and always put other's needs before his own. He was the best husband, father and Paw Paw. 

 The family will hold a private celebration of life in his honor.
