Our beloved, devoted, kind and giving dad, Joseph Manuel Guidroz, 77, of Pride, LA passed from this life at his home on January 15, 2018. Born on March 25, 1940 to Simon and Julie Bello Guidroz in Chenal, LA. He was a graduate of Rougon High School ’58. He worked at Ethyl Corporation for seventeen years and retired from DOTD. Services will take place on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Zoar Baptist Church, with Dr. Kevin K Hand officiating. Interment will be at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Church Funeral Services. Mr. Guidroz was a beautiful soul, always giving of himself, a very loving and kind man who loved his family and church. He was an active member of Zoar Baptist Church and volunteered his time frequently. Mr. Guidroz will surely be missed by all that knew him. He loves God, his country, his family and his church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Julie Guidroz; and a brother James Edward Guidroz. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Audrey Guidroz; three children Robert Methvien, Kathy Danner (George), Kim Gueho (Keith); five grandchildren, Starr Quenelle (Alan), Alexandra Landry (Gavin), Aubrey Methvien, Grayson Danner, Sage Danner; one great-grandaughter, Reine Landry; two sisters, Mary Lois Alexander and Shirley Drott and his dog, Harley. Pallbearers will be Gavin Landry, Jerry Harris, Derek Mizell, Billy Averett, Jessie Erwin and Aubrey Methvien. Honorary pallbearer will be Kirby Duty. Visitation will be 10:00am till service time at 12:00pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Zoar Baptist Church.
