Jude “Rude Jude” “Fuzzy PawPaw” Sigur - The river is literally a little less bright without his presence.
Preceded in death by his father, Patrick Sigur, Sr., he is survived by his son, Eric (Savannah) Sigur; daughters, Dani (Michael) Gaspard and Aundraya Keller; mother, Carol Sigur; brothers, Patrick (Karen) and Jon (Wyn) Sigur; sisters, Christine and Angelle (Craig); former wife, Julia Shoaf; his seven beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh and Logan Keller, Brayden, Gavin, Camryn, & Carson Gaspard, and Louie Sigur.
Jude was an avid gardener, grill master, and all around damn incredible cook. Always blaring good and questionable music, he enjoyed many summers captaining his family down the Amite River on his Bayliner and participating in jamboree cookoffs. He was a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals. Jude had one of the biggest hearts and would give a complete stranger the shirt off his back. Some people take in stray animals; Jude took in stray people. He had nicknames for everyone and was the life of the party—quick witted and almost never serious, he was the embodiment of living life to the fullest. He made lifelong friends wherever he went through out his many travels and created great memories that will last a lifetime for all those he impacted. No longer in the pain that robbed us of him too soon, he’s tearing up the streets of gold on his Harley or in his red Corvette when he isn’t grilling cheeseburgers in a paradise that resembles Key West.
A gathering to celebrate Jude's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at The Venue of St. Amant from 5pm until 9pm
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital in Jude's honor.
