Judith "Judy" Jane Francis Parker

Judith “Judy” Jane Francis Parker, a beloved mother and friend, passed away on April 19, 2024, at home in Baton Rouge. Judy was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1937 to parents Marguerite Weiss and Thomas Francis. 


She graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City and Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She worked at the Social Security Payment Center in Kansas City, MO, where she met her second husband James Dean Parker. They moved from Raytown, MO to Kenner, LA in August 1974. Judy was a very active member of First Christian Church of Greater New Orleans where she taught at the Nursery School for over 2 decades, active with Church Women's United, and was active with the CWF (Christian Women's Fellowship). She served as an advisor for the Alpha Xi Delta chapter at the University of New Orleans and was involved with the alumnae association for over 20 years. 


She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Kyle Hall, and second husband James Parker. 


She is survived by her son, Daniel Parker of Baton Rouge.
