Many of the vacations in her later life were bus tours throughout the country visiting quilt shops and enjoying the sites and good food along the way. Through her life, she enjoyed a number of other crafts and hobbies including photography, crocheting, pottery, and embroidery among others.
Judy was also active in several service organizations through her life, including as a member of the Jaycee Jaynes, a troop committee member of Boy Scout Troop 478, Brownie leader within the Girls Scouts, and various positions within the Baptist church.
