Juste B. Smiley, Jr.

Juste B. Smiley, Jr. a native of Lake, LA and long-time resident of Pride, LA, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the age of 97.  He was a member of Trinity Union Masonic Lodge for over 60 years and a member of Latter-Day Saints. Juste is survived by his sons, Juste “Jimmie” Smiley, Dennis Smiley, Larry Smiley; sister, Yvonne “Bonnie” Laiche; nephew, Gary Laiche; niece, Rebecca Brown.  Juste is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Dougherty Smiley; parents, Juste and Alcaidia Smiley; sister, Eries Mae “C.C.” Roberston; brother, Luther “Man” Smiley; grandmother, mawmaw Teen “Tea Cake Queen”.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Pride Cemetery at 10 am.  Arrangements entrusted with Church Funeral Services.
