Loving husband and father, Justin Daniel Mickelborough, age 38, passed away at his home in St. Amant on September 8, 2024. Justin grew up in a loving home in St. Amant, Louisiana. Growing up, he had a large group of friends, and they spent many nights in the woods having paint ball wars. He graduated from St. Amant High School in 2004. Never venturing far from his family home in St. Amant, he began his career with Sonic Drive-In in 2002 as a car hop, where he met the love of his life, Kacie (Hilred). They married in 2006. Together they worked their way up to general manager and managed multiple locations. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to start his own business, JDM Management in 2007. With Kacie by his side, they built a successful full-service construction & remodeling company.
Justin enjoyed the beach and working around his home where he created a backyard oasis for his family. Madisyn, his daughter, and Noah his son, were his entire world. His children gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. He was so proud of his kids, and his family and friends will hold dear the stories we will be privileged to tell them of their funny, loving father.
A man of few words, he found ways to let his family know that he loved and appreciated them. Justin is survived by his wife, Kacie; daughter, Madisyn; son, Noah; parents, Lisa Fuller L’huillier and Todd & Darla Mickelborough who raised him with unconditional faith, love and support; grandparents, Gene and Linda Mickelborough; older sister, Debbie (Justin) Pauler; and younger brother, Nathanael L’huillier whose memories and adventures will hold special places in their hearts; in-laws, Norma and Jerome Newton; sisters-in-law, Bridget and Tracie; seven nephews, Landen, Kasen, Charlie, Dayne Jr., Chandler, Andrew, and Zayne; three nieces, Breann, Maeleigh, and Ava; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He had a knack for making his friends feel like his best friend.
Justin was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Frank & Pat Fuller, Jim Myers, and Norman Hilred; father-in-law, Johnny Argus; cousin, Jason Pettigrew. Waiting for him at the door to Heaven was his twin brother, Joel.
Justin’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Gonzales Baptist Temple, 2807 S. Hodgeson Ave, Gonzales, Louisiana. A private visitation for family will begin at 8:30am. Friends of the family may pay their respects beginning at 9:30am until the service at 12:00pm. We hope to see all the friends and family that can attend to help us remember Justin and the man he was.
In lieu of flowers, his family is accepting donations to support the future education of his children. Donations may be made via PayPal to @kaciemickelborough.
