Larry Thomas Bizette was born September 7, 1952 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully in his home on November 19, 2022 at the age of 70 years old.
He graduated from Central High School in 1970. He held a Masters of Science degree in Urban Planning from ULL. This degree brought him great opportunities in northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Huntsville, Alabama. He retired in 2015 and relocated to Asheville, North Carolina.
He was a gentle and reserved man. He loved the mountains and the fall colors. He ran miles and miles around school tracks wherever he lived. Failing health recently brought him back to Baton Rouge.
He is survived by sister, Beryl Summers of Kansas and her children and grandchildren; loyal friends, former wife, Sherry Bizette and extended family. Thanks to first cousins Leon DuPont and Lisa Eubanks for their support.
He was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Loula Bizette.
Loyal caregivers were Jamie, Janetta, Trell and Zaidra. Thank you Becky Collins who visited daily to do whatever was needed. Much appreciation to Casey Bradford who provided spiritual comfort and maintenance of the daily household activities for Larry.
The caring staff at Clarity Hospice went above and beyond for his home care including Kenya, Cassundra, Michelle, Mike, Vin and Carla.
Larry’s wishes were cremation with no services. RIP Larry, your dry humor and wit will be missed.
