On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Laura Babin, loving mother of four children passed away at the age of 83. Laura was born on December 11, 1936 in Geismar, Louisiana to the late Claybert and Hattie Gomez. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Laura loved cooking, gardening, collecting antiques, and spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Craig “J.C.” Babin; son, Barry M. Babin; one brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey Babin, Tracy Babin, and Corey Babin and his wife LaJuana; sisters, Dorothy, Carolyn, and Madeline, as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date under her beloved oak tree. Arrangements by Church Funeral Services and Crematory.
