Lawrence "Larry" Haber Jr.

Larry Haber, 83, passed away at his home in Gonzales on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Larry worked on the River in the New Orleans area as a Stevedore Superintendent and at Home Depot before retiring. Larry greatly enjoyed cruising with his wife Kim and friends, his monthly luncheons with his fellow Berhman High School Bees for the last 16 years and more recently enjoyed Jeep outings with the Krewe of Rougarou Jeep Club. 

Larry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim Aucoin Haber; children, Larry Haber, III, Karen Fury (Keith), Charlotte Berteau (Billy), Starlyn Gros (Bryant); grandchildren, Kristin Sheppard (Caleb), Kaiden Fury, BJ Gros (Rachel), Spencer Gros and Mandy Boudreaux; great-grandchildren, Harlan Sheppard, Annabelle, Amelia and Arik Gros; siblings, Donald and Clint Swindler and Jan Dugan; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Haber, Sr and Helen Ose Haber as well as his biological mother Maybell Cleveland Swindler. 

A memorial celebrating his life will be held at the Church International of St Amant on Monday, August 12, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9 AM until services at 11 AM led by Ps Terry.
