Leo Joseph Catoire III, a resident of Prairieville LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was a retired Bin Operator of 30 years at Colonial Sugars refinery in Gramercy. LA. He was born on November 18,1954 and was the beloved and only son to the Late Leo Joseph Catoire, Jr. and JoAnne Gaudet Catoire. He is survived by his wife of 52 years to Deborah Cambre Catoire, son Shane Catoire, Daughters Lacey Capello (Ernest) and Marcy Catoire.
Grandchildren; Nicole Louque (Nicholas), Shaina Catoire (Zachery), Reagen Catoire, Frankie Santone (Nate) Brayden Catoire, Alexia Rivero (Samuel), Sadie, Story & Miley Keating. Great grandchildren Owen and Reece Louque & Xavier Keating. He leaves behind 3 sisters, Cynthia Breaux, Roxanne Torres and Laurie Bourgeois (Danny Joe), godchild Halie Bourgeois and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother in-law to Dolores Viola (Dago), Rachel Matherne (Jay), Margaret Hebert (Carl) and Valerie Johnson (Jimmy). He is preceded in death by his parents JoAnne Gaudet and Leo Joseph Catoire, Jr., Grandparents; Laura and Paul Gaudet, Gladys and Leo Catoire, Sr., brother-in-law Kevin Torres, sister-in-law, Nancy Cambre Melancon, nephew, Tyler James Bourgeois, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Florence and Parker Cambre.
Leo loved spending his time out-doors with his grandchildren telling them stories of all his adventures of when he was a child living in Paulina. His love and passion was raising livestock, hunting with his dad and riding horses. He was born and raised in Paulina, LA where he will be laid to rest on Friday, February 7th at the St. Joseph Mausoleum. Family and friends are welcome to pay your respects to his family at 11 a.m. followed by entombment at 11:30.
