Funeral services for Lois Wascom, age 87 will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am at Satsuma Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Sullivan as officiant with burial to follow at Guy Cemetery, Hwy 63, Livingston.
Visitation will be held at Satsuma Baptist Church, 29880 S Satsuma Rd, Livingston, LA 70754, from 9:30 am until 11:00am on Friday, October 29, 2021.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, bluegrass music, festivals and her homelife. A very good cook whose baking skills were from her mother. The most memorable times were enjoyed with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lois worked at Dixon Hospital for a number of years and volunteered at Satsuma Baptist, where she was a member.
She is survived by her two children; Judy Watts of Ponchatoula and Margie Lee and husband Bo of Walker; four grandchildren, Angie Calloway and husband Joey, Christopher Porrello, Allison Bernard and husband Ryan and Callie Hoyt and husband Brandon; six great grandchildren and many friends who will miss her very much.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wascom; parents, Harvey Kent and Mamie Kimble Kent; sister, Julia Hayes; brother, Burlin “Buck” Kent.
Pallbearers will be Darvin Lee, Jason Allen, Ryan Bernard, Donald Roddy, Brandon Hoyt, and Art Clement.
Honorary pallbearer will be Rhett Bernard.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Debra Lee and Grace Andrews, Bridgeway Hospice for the love and care they showed to Lois.
