Lois Yvonne Rogers

Lois Yvonne Rogers passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on August 27, 1947, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her love and care. 

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Carl R. Pierson and Rose Strahan Pierson; her brothers, Ronald D. Pierson and Donald W. Pierson; and her granddaughter, Breann Y. Rose. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Arthur C. Rogers; her daughter Cindy (Mike) Bennett of Arkansas; her son Michael (Ginny) Barnes of Texas; and her stepson Chip (Jennifer) Rogers. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jacob Barnes, Paul Rogers, and Ashley Rogers, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her surviving siblings include brothers Carl and Jerry Pierson and sister Ruth "Kooky" Pierson. 

Family was at the heart of Yvonne’s life, and she held her loved ones close, including her church family.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those who offered prayers, support, and strength during Yvonne’s final days. 

A memorial service to honor Yvonne’s life will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Lanier Baptist Church, located at 4851 Lanier Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
