Lovenia Cecile Quick

Lovenia Cecile Quick, age 77, passed away in her sleep on June 21, 2023. She was a Member of St. Mark Catholic Church, and her many passions were her family and her love for beautiful things. Lovenia was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA and settled with her husband and children in Prairieville, LA where they resided since 1978. Lovenia was a dedicated wife for 60 years to her loving husband, and a dedicated Mother to her children. She especially loved her role as MoMo Venia to her Grandchildren and her Great Grandchildren. She treasured her family and friends and enjoyed every moment with them.

Lovenia is survived by her husband Robert “Glynn” Quick; Son Randall Glynn Quick and Daughter In-law Darlene Quick; Daughter Melissa Quick Stewart and Son In-law Don Stewart; Grandchildren Ariel Quick, Brandon Quick, Cody Blackwell, Lainey Diaz & spouse Abe Diaz, Kaylea Stewart & spouse Beau Enloe, and Cameron Stewart; Great-Grandchildren Adrian and Isabella Diaz, Rowan Stewart-Enloe, Willow Blackwell, and Ryland Vidrine; Brother – Johnny Mayeux and Sister In-law Dianne Mayeux; Sister In-law Alice Quick, and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved.

Lovenia is preceded in death by her parents, John and Cecile Mayeux.

Family and friends are invited to attend a church service which will be held on Wednesday, July 12,2023 – The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., followed by a visitation from 10 – 11 a.m., and a funeral mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church 42021 LA-621, Gonzales, LA 70737.
