Bennie Lucile “Lucy” Heath, age 74, passed away peacefully Feb. 7, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She shared 55 years of marriage with Thomas “Tommy” Heath, Sr. She is survived by sons, Michael D. Heath and wife Jan Acaldo Heath, Charles J. Heath and wife Elizabeth Braud Heath, and Thomas “Tom” Heath, Jr. and wife Tracey Livingston Heath; grandchildren, Abby, Ellen, Grace, Ashley, Emma, Jack, Owen and Clara Heath. She was born in Crosby, Mississippi, but lived all of her adult life in St. Amant, Louisiana. In recent years Lucy enjoyed spending time with her cat “Tootie” and visiting the Ascension Council on Aging. Lucy was always seen with a smile on her face that would light up a room. She had many skills and talents. In her life she worked at Roland Martin’s Seafood Buffet, Country Kitchen, Wal-Mart, Piccadilly and was active at East Ascension Academy where her sons attended school. She’s preceded in death by her parents Benjamin “Link” and Sally Bass and beloved in-laws, William H. “Bill” and Viva Paxton Heath. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 9th, from 5pm to 8pm and will resume on Saturday Feb 10th at 9 am until service at 11 am at Sorrento Baptist Church, 8275 Main Street, Sorrento, La.
