Lucy Paulette Lawless had just completed her 68th trip around the Sun on September 2, 2022. She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She was a resident of Livingston, Louisiana. She went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 29, 2022.
I know she didn’t want to leave us behind but she will be so happy to see her parents, her aunts and uncles, her brother and my older brother Michael Wayne Castello that passed just after he was born. I hate losing her but I’m glad she has family waiting to welcome her home and show her the mansion she’s been looking forward to for so long. I’m looking forward to seeing all of them again one day. I never got a chance to meet my older brother. That will be a celebration when we are all together again.
She is rejoicing in Heaven now with her new body, heart and lungs. Don’t be sad for her. Be happy for her. She had been suffering for so many years. She needed some rest.
Thanks for all the prayers during her last weeks in the hospital. It really helped knowing she had so many friends and family that loved her.
We spent her last hours listening to her favorite music. Her favorite earthly music is nothing compared to the music she is hearing now. I can only imagine the beautiful Heavenly music they were playing to welcome her home.
She is survived by her husband Michael Lawless, her son Paul Castello, her stepsons Travis and Darian Lawless, her sister Pauline Pierce and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Benjamin Pierce Sr and Hazel Thomas Pierce, brother Edward Johnny Pierce and son Michael Wayne Castello.

Mom never liked dressing up. The theme of her Celebration of Life will be her favorite song Way Maker. Most of us will be wearing jeans and a black Way Maker tshirt. I will post the link to the shirt if you want to join in with the theme. I am going to take a group photo of everyone wearing the shirt to put in her memory book.
This is her favorite version of the song. It has been sung by several groups and individuals.
