A ceremony celebrating the life of Mamie White Millet will be held at 11 am on Saturday December 12, 2020 at The Church International St Amant; visitation will begin at 8 am. Entombment will be at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery.

She was born on March 8, 1924 and passed from this life on Monday December 7, 2020 at Francois Bend Gonzales at the age of 92 years.

As the matriarch of our family, Mamie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her family above all other things. Mamie had a knack for telling it like it is, and many people live by the words of wisdom she shared.

She was an avid painter, and you can see her paintings hanging on many walls across the states. She loved to garden, as was illustrated in Better Homes and Garden more than once. She would often be found working in her yard. She enjoyed traveling and looked forward to the changing of the leaves each year.  She was a great cook and used her food to bring people together.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Millet, sons Robert and Jimmy Wunstel, parents Oliver R. and Ursula Vesta Broussard White, siblings Bill, Ola, Oma, and Rufus White.

Survivors include her children Jerry “Pete” Wunstel (Paulette), and Delva Sue Westbrook, grandchildren Dara Crochet, Pam Hebert, Clay Wunstel, Dustin Wunstel, Karen Duvall, Michelle Eades, Lori Sanchez, Craig Wunstel, Christy Allen, Shanna Forrestall, Jerred Wunstel, Jerri LaLonde, Trent Wunstel, Daffanie Sullivan, and Tiffany Martinez, also survived by 30 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews.
