Manell C. “Nel” Hanna

A ceremony celebrating the life of Manell C. “Nel” Hanna will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery; visitation will begin at 12:30 at the cemetery.  Mr. Hanna was born on May 4, 1930 in Acy, LA and passed from this life on March 7, 2021 at the age of 90 years. He was a resident of Sorrento; he was a retired probation and parole officer for the State of Louisiana. A graduate of St Amant High School and received a B.S. degree from Southeastern University in Voc-Ag, also served with the United State Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge New River Lodge # 402.  He is preceded in death by parents Edwin J. and Doria Melancon Hanno, brother Floyd C. Hanna. Survivors include his son Neal D. Hanna (Sheryll Holmes Hanna), and Jody W. Hanna (Arlene Hanks Hanna), also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services, 225-644-9683
