Mary Catherine "Cathy" Gaspard

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6. Mary Catherine "Cathy" Gaspard, 59, of Denham Springs, LA, slipped peacefully into Jesus's loving arms on August 2, 2024. She was a loving mother, and granny to her grandchildren. Cathy was very sentimental and loved to reminisce. She would always share stories of her life and experiences she had. Her dogs Milo Mojo and Nora Jean were 2 of her greatest loves besides her grandchildren. She was always re-purposing items in the house that others would throw away, Nothing ever went to waste. She gave her heart to the lord on May 5th 2024, and encouraged everyone to seek Jesus with all their hearts. Her children know God because of her love for him. Cathy was loving and accepting of everyone. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her. She is preceeded in death by her grandfather Thaddeus Lambremont Kaufman, grandmother Zula Mae Kaufman, father James Carlin Gaspard Sr, mother Theresa Kaufman Carles, sister Debra Lynn Guillot., and beloved daughter Beth Ann Gaspard. Cathy is survived by her three children: Jerry Gaspard Sr and spouse Ashley Gaspard, Matthew Gaspard and spouse Loree, and Erica Jones; Six grandchildren Jerry Jr, Johnny, Gabrielle, Jalen, MJ, and Elijah; Sisters Terri Ampuero, Tina Glass, and Sheryl Gaspard; Numerous nieces and nephews including Lisa Ampuero, Leah Duff, Sarah Ward, Analiah Gaspard, and Aeden Ampuero. Memorial services will be held at First Penecostal Church of Denham Springs August 10th, 2024 at 12:00pm. Please come celebrate the life of a wonderful woman and share your many memories of her.
