Matthew Adams Hebert passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA after a brief battle with cancer. Matthew was born on February 24,1968 in White Castle, LA, and was a resident of Slaughter, LA for many years. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Nancy Oufnac Hebert, his Nanny Kaaren Dugas and husband, Larry, step-daughter Jessica Griffin Bourgeois, her husband Blake and their children Bella, Carleigh, and Aden, sister -in- law Nikki Ockman Hebert and niece Olivia Borne, cousins Aimee Dugas Walker, her husband Robert and their children Bailey and Taylor, Ashley Dugas Sagona and her son, Jake, Godmother Wilba Musso, Godfather Mervin Hebert, as well as numerous aunts, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Eric C. Hebert, his maternal grandparents, Robert (Buck) and Lorraine Adams Suarez, Gilbert Oufnac, and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Odette Theriot Hebert. The family would like to thank Glenn Landry NP, Dr. Ronnie Fields, Channon Campesi, and the staffs of both Our Lady of Lake ICU and The Carpenter House for their compassionate care of our beloved Matthew. As he did in life, he did so in death……Matthew did it his way. A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at a later date.
