Melanie, age 59, passed away peacefully at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA where she met Jesus, her Lord.
She was a member of Millville Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, LA. She loved the Lord and her church family.
She was a mother who loved her girls and her grandchildren. She had the most kind heart for those around her. She always enjoyed visits with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved playing Bingo with her Fresenius Kidney Care Family. She also enjoyed cooking, watching television, and shopping. She loved her cherished poodle, J-Boy. She was known as Nannie Mel to all and was adored by everyone who knew her. She has left her family and friends with many wonderful memories and will be missed forever.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Duhe and stepfather, John Duhe; lifelong love, Curtis Clancy; daughters, Casie (Rob), Candi, Caylee (Billy); sister, Terry Day; brothers, Tony and Toby (Pam); grandchildren, Trinity, Heaven, Tristen, Curtis, and Genevieve; her Nannie, Judy Methvin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Randy Hoyt; father, Jourdan J. Vicknair Jr; brother-in-law, Raymond D. Day; sister-in-law, Tina Hayden Vicknair.
Pallbearers will be Billy Webb, Tristan Tanner, Rob Rumpf, Jordy Day, Caleb Day, Isaiah Day, Noah Day, Micah Day.
Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Foote, Curtis Clancy, Jaxon Day, and Kaiden Day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Millville Baptist Church at 621 West McClellan Street, Ponchatoula, LA on Monday February 21, 2022, from 9am until services begin at 11 am. Reverend Joshua Day will officiate and interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
