Michael Marion Davis, husband, father, grandfather, and brother went into the arms of Jesus on January 22, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on October 17, 1954.
He is survived by his wife Teresia Hamilton Davis of 48 Years; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Tammy Davis of Denham Springs, son Chesly Davis of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Trent Davis of Denham Springs; sisters Cathy Causey and Gil of Slaughter, Georganna Hargroder and Dewey of Albany. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joyce and George Davis of Baker, sister Valorie Montgomery of Baton Rouge.
In his early years he graduated from Baker High School in 1973. He attended LSU and was a member of the Golden Band from Tigerland playing the tuba. He then joined the US Marine Corps where he served his country for 8 years.
While in the service he married Teresia Hamilton who was the love of his life. They have been high school sweethearts. During their early years, they traveled to North Carolina, Okinawa, Japan and Camp Pendleton in California. After his stent in the military, he became an over the road truck driver which he did for over 40 years. He retired in 2022.
He will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship, 9611 Blackwater Rd, Central, LA 70714 on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Visitation begins at 10AM and the service at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
