A ceremony honoring the life of Michael L. Dean will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Dean Cemetery 32647 North Doyle Road, Holden, LA. Mr. Dean was born in Doyle, LA on July 12, 1945, and passed from this life on September 6, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 78 years.
He attended Holden Baptist Church and Carpenters Local 1098. He enjoyed woodworking, building special picnic tables for his family, attending music shows and special events for his grandchildren.
Through the years he loved his dog “Beano”, zero turn lawnmower, mowing his “Place”, his jeep and visiting The Great Smokie Mountains.
He will always be remembered as a hardworking, honest, giving good man.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Gladys Amy Dean, siblings Vernon, Elaine, John, and Douglas.
Survivors include his children Larry Wayne Dean (Lori), and Amy Lynn Dean Johnson (Jeff “Reb”), brother Arthur Dean, grandchildren Paige Dean, Jeremiah Johnson, Shelby Trosclair, Faith Lynn Johnson, and Emma Grace Johnson, great grandchildren Dominic Carter, Mavis Trosclair, Eleanor, Amelia, and Everlie Johnson, special companion Gayle Watts, also survived by host of other relatives and friends.
Special thank you to Transitions Hospice Care, Bro Carl Sullivan for being his pastor and friend. For all the phone calls to him, prayers, and visits.
