Michael Hodgeson

Michael “Mike” Hodgeson was born on March 7, 1950, to his loving parents Ishmael and Leonie Hodgeson in New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to Ascension Parish with his parents as a young adult. After his parents’ passing, Mike was embraced by his late Uncle Gilbert Buratt and joined the Lambert family. He quickly became our favorite son, brother, cousin and friend. Mike had a lifelong love for Elvis, LSU and the Saints. He was a simple, kind, caring family man who always had time for a game of cards or checkers. Mike took pride in teaching three generations how to play checkers and “cheat” at Rummy. God blessed us to know and love him, and we will miss him dearly. Mike departed this life on December 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved Joann and his best friends: Paula Buratt, Nanell Brock and Stephen Guitreau. He leaves to cherish his memory to Joyce Lambert, Dempsey (Kim) Lambert, Louis (Kristy) Lambert, Nona (Steve) Guitreau and a host of other relatives and friends.
