Micheal Wayne "Big Mike" Pitre

Micheal Wayne "Big Mike" Pitre, a resident of the Zachary, LA, passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 67. He was known for his passion for helping people and love for old cars. Born on January 27, 1957, Micheal discovered his talent for fixing engines at a young age and turned it into a lifelong career as a dedicated diesel mechanic spanning 50 years. Beyond his professional achievements, Micheal was a kind-hearted soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His hobbies included cooking up delicious meals for his family and friends and exploring new destinations through travel. 
 
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wages Pitre; daughters, Jessica Beard (Nick), Misty Baker (Reggie), Sabrina Borskey (Jade); mother, Betty Jo Biggers; sisters, Elizabeth Seyfarth and Lisa May; brother, J.P. Pitre; stepchildren, Michelle Homan (Brian) and Sam Homan (Dawn); grandchildren, Kaleb, Kyndal, Kylie, Jolie, Olivia, and Ella; 7 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren.

Big Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pitre; father, Wayne Pitre; and stepson, Tommy Homan.

In honor of Big Mike's remarkable life and legacy, let us remember him for his kindness, generosity, and passion for serving others. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched as they continue to treasure the moments spent in his company. Rest in peace, Big Mike.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Life Tabernacle Church, 9323 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70818 from 1PM- 2PM.
