Mikel “Scooby” Michel Iii

A ceremony celebrating the life of Mikel Marion “Scooby” Michel, III will be held at 11:45am Friday, December 7, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, visitation will begin at 9:15am until time of service. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales, LA. Scooby was born on September 19, 1969 in Baton Rouge, LA and was a resident of St. Amant, LA. He passed away December 1, 2018, he was 49 years old. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School, baseball coach, skilled carpenter, maintenance technician, jack of all trades, and a loyal man. One of a kind. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Gerald Babin and Rosemary Achord Babin, Mikel Marion Michel, Sr. and Juliette Lessard Michel, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Wade, Aunt Lorrita, great grand parents LV and Blanche Achord, Solomon and Anna Mae Babin. Survivors include his parents Mikel Marion Michel, Jr. and Gail Babin Michel, son Zane Mikel Michel, granddaughter Addi, sister Maranda Michel, brother Byron “Scrappy” Michel, niece Kailey, nephews Dathan and Connor, numerous aunts, uncles, lots of cousins on both sides, and Aunt Patti Madden.
