Mirtha Antonia Migenes-Incardona passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024 at the age of 85. Mirtha was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, for 60 years then moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina. Mirtha was born on June 13, 1939 in Matanzas, Cuba to the late Benito and Dulce María Migenes. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Nicholas (Nicky) Incardona, her late sister Elia Migenes-Iriarte, and her late brother Jorge Migenes.
Mirtha was the devoted, loving mother (Madre) of her dear son Edward Antonio Incardona, mother-in-law of Jody (Vines) Incardona. Proud “Tita” to her granddaughter Kaylynn Incardona. Mirtha is survived by her sister, María Mercedes Migenes-Jiménez (Medardo), nephew Juan de Dios Iriarte (Charlotte), niece Elia Iriarte-Anderson (Charles), niece Carmen Migenes-Melendreras (Eduardo), nephew Jorge Migenes, niece Dulce Jiménez-Aguda (Joseph), niece Ana Jiménez-Harris (Robby) and their children.
Mirtha was a devout Catholic and will be remembered by her kind, warm and compassionate personality. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. Her family would like to express their sincerest gratitude for the excellent care and professional attention she received from the Hospice of Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM November 23, 2024 at St Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave. New Orleans LA. After a Funeral Mass, the interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery #1, New Orleans, LA.
