Monica Lynn Nicholson

With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of a beloved mother, Monica Lynn Nicholson, on December 23, 2024, at the age of 69. Lynn was born on January 22, 1955.

She was a registered nurse graduate of Charity School of Nursing and had a long nursing career working in many fields of healthcare and retiring from the State of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals in 2018. Lynn was a member of the Blackwater United Methodist Church. To know Lynn, you know she was an overly generous person and loved by her family.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Vinson Montgomery and her father, Col. Thomas Herbert Montgomery Jr. and her brother Thomas Herbert Montgomery III.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Nicholson White, her son-in-law Paul Piazza White and two grandchildren Rhodes Thomas White and Wren Piazza White. She is survived by sister, Nancy Montgomery Boyd and her two nephews Jonathan Boyd and Ian Boyd.

Lynn will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
