Myranda Kay Roberts

Myranda Kay Roberts, age 43, who placed her hope in Jesus Christ left this side of life on February 25, 2021. She was born on April 14, 1977, lived her childhood in Florence, MS, high school and early motherhood in Brandon, MS and thereafter resided in Central and Satsuma, LA. Although Myranda had hardships and caring the scars of the house fire as a toddler and the estrangement of her father, she was loud with love and quick with laughter.

Equipped with these and goodtime charasteristics, she lived her life. Sadly, she suffered the hardships of an addict in later life. Seeking treatment and help of her Lord, Myranda fought hard to stay true to her character of love and laughter. As her addiction pushed her out of this life, her Savior was there to catch and carry her good spirit to its reward.

Preceded in death by her parents, Susan Kay Austin and Stewart Roberts

Survived by her children; Salem, Maggie, Davey and Bailey Thornton; sister, Christi Roberts; nephews, Noah and Jaxson Dupre; niece, Gracyann Kay Ruggie; step-fathers, Jim Sneed and Julius Furr; step-sisters, Carly Kirk and Sally Lemelle; step-brother, Caleb Furr and ex-husband, William “Buster” Thornton.

Our beloved Myranda chose her Lord Jesus’ grace and mercy, cremation and a simple family memorial will be held privately.
