Nancy Mary Cambre Melancon

Nancy Mary Cambre Melancon, age 65, of Port Vincent, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Gonzales Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Parker Cambre and her mother, Florence Schexnaydre Cambre. Nancy left behind her loving companion, Don Melancon; her son, Cory Melancon and wife Amanda; daughter, Heidi Melancon; four grandchildren, Shea, Alex, Gavin, and Gracie; Nancy also leaves behind five sisters, Deborah Catoire (Leo), Dolores Viola (Johnnie), Rachel Matherne (Jay), Marguerite Hebert (Carl), and Valerie Johnson (Jimmy). A special thank you to all the health care team at Gonzales Healthcare Center and Clarity Hospice. Nancy was a very loving and compassionate woman who always had the brightest smile on her face. She spread love wherever she went and saw the good in everyone. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her heart of gold. Nancy ended every conversation with loved ones with, “I love you with all my heart.”  A private memorial service will be held in her honor at The Church International in St. Amant.
