She was born on February 15, 1969, a native of Destrehan and a resident of Gonzales. Nancy devoted her life to be the best and most loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her dogs (Gizmo, Calypso, Prudence, and Hank) dearly. When she wasn’t spending time with her daughters, she was spending as much time and getting as many babies snuggles as she possibly could from her grandson, Preston. She is preceded in death by her parents Eric and Bessie Chelette Soileau; siblings Sally Flores and Kerry Soileau; grandparents George and Lillian Soileau, Ernest Peter “E. P.” and Adele Chelette. Survivors include her husband Randy Thompson; children Miranda Newsom and husband Acy, and Brianna Thompson; grandson Preston Newsom; sisters Janet Fontenot and husband Joseph, and Loretta Holiday; sister-in-law Debbie Soileau; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may consider a memorial gift for Nancy. Gifts of love that are received will be used by her family to honor her life and memory.
