Nathan Deonald Wascom passed away on September 18, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital from complications after having open heart surgery. He was born on November 5, 1977 and was 42 years old.
He graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1995 and was employed by LA Department of Transportation for approximately 17 years. Nathan was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Central.
His wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial will be held on October 10, 2020 at North Park located at 30372 Eden Church Road, Denham Springs, LA from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the pavilion by the pond.
A Celebration of Life will be held immediately afterwards and service by Brother Charles Ray Smith. Nathan was not a fancy dressed person so come dressed comfortably and bring your own chairs. Please do not bring any food, however drinks will be provided.
Nathan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jamie Kyzar Wascom; son, Andrew Deonald Wascom; father and mother, David Deonald and Mae Angele Tate Wascom; brother, Daniel Lee Wascom; mother-in-law, Helen Miller Moore; sister-in-law, Jackie Kyzar; nephew, John Easterly, Jr; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy May, Elbert Deonald Wascom, Raymond Tate, Sr. and Nina Lea McLin; aunt, Jenny Joan Tate Sutton; uncles, E. J. Wascom and J. B. Devall; cousins, Marlena Tate Broussard, Robin White and Tonya Van Vleet.
