Pamela Rae Watson Cannon

Pamela Rae Watson Cannon, 65, entered into her heavenly home on Thursday, March 27th, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home in Gonzales, LA. Born September 22nd, 1959 in Baton Rouge, LA, Pam was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping and passionately cheering on her favorite football teams, the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. She loved to be at the beach, and always supported and cheered on her girls' bowling and volleyball team.

She is survived by her loving spouse of 47 years, Kevin Paul Cannon; daughter Megan (Brian) Mumphrey; brother Ricky (Lisa Casey) Watson; grandchildren Kaedyn and Rhylee Mumphrey; a special aunt Laura Duplessis; father-in-law George (Paw Paw Bute) Cannon; brothers-in-law Roger Bateman and Tim Lambert, loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Rena Brown Watson, sisters Linda Lambert, Alice "Toot" Bateman, nephew Roger "Doodle" Bateman, and mother-in-law Joyce Cannon.

Pallbearers are Brian Mumphrey, Joshua and Kaleb Watson, Casey Cannon, Bryan Ficklin, Jr, and Chad Cannon. Honorary pallbearers are Benjamin Bateman and Bryan Ficklin, Sr.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial tributes and contributions to assist in defraying funeral and medical costs.

A special thank you to Dr. Ryan Lee Basquez, Dr. Brian Lindenmayer, OLOL Hospital Medicine, Pinnacle Hospice, and Pam's incredible support system and extended care team.

A funeral service for Pamela will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 at Wisdom's Call Fellowship, 12534 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737. Visitation will be open to the public from 9:00 AM until a religious service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Gene Gayle. Burial will follow at Galvez Pentecostal Cemetery.
