Patricia Ethel Burns Weathers of Livingston, Louisiana, age 71, passed away May 14, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital with family by her side.
She was born January 1, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Wendi, and Barry LeBlanc. She leaves behind three grandsons and a great-granddaughter who loved and adored her; Jordan, Trenton, Ethan, and Gracelynn LeBlanc. She is also survived by a son and Daughter-in-law, Mr., and Mrs. Robert (Stormy) Weathers, and their children and grandchildren. She leaves behind three sisters and her brother-in-law, Linda B. Barber, Bobbi B. Smith, Missy Corkern, and Louis Corkern Sr. She will be missed by special niece Bonnie Boudreaux, nephew Robert Corkern, and many cousins. She is PatPat to numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends, including Glenda Wilson, Genny, Reid, and Ryan Brown.
She is preceded in death by her cherished parents Charles Robert Burns and Iris Todd Burns. Waiting on her in heaven are two sisters and brother-in-law, Nelda Jean Burns and BerryL B. Stringer. Brother-in-law Billy E. Smith.
She was a long-time employee at Exxon and East Baton Rouge Parish Library. After retiring from the library, she worked at the LSU box office. The education of our younger generations was important to her. She was an avid reader who loved to learn. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing and spending time with her would tell you she had a kind and generous heart. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving; she carried on the tradition of preparing the Oyster dressing and fruit salad. She was proud to be the matriarch of her large and wondrous family.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, May 25, at 5 o’clock at Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston, Louisiana, with a remembrance service at 6:15.
