Patricia "Pat" Parks

May 20, 1945 — April 7, 2025

Gonzales

Patricia "Pat" Parks was born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 20, 1945. She was an outstanding cook and loved cooking for friends and family. She was also a wonderful hostess and found much joy in planning get-togethers and attending gatherings planned by others. Great food, music, laughter, and fun were always in abundance when spending time with her.

For 27 years, she was a caregiver to several sick and elderly patients, but that was only one of the many jobs she held over the years, as she was an extremely hard worker.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Moore; her mother Naoma Moore; brothers, Billy Moore and Larry Moore; sisters Sharon Hoffpauir, Cindy Brashier, and Becky Ward; and her son, Shannon Hoyt.

She is survived by her loving companion, Mr. Errol Naquin; her daughter, Debra Thomas (Mark) of Alachua, FL, son, Corey Rivett of Gonzales, LA, her son, Patrick Pendergrass (Shelly) of Prairieville, LA, 8 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren and her two sisters, Linda Keller of Walker, LA, and Iris Arceneaux of Gonzales, LA, and a friend, Molly Sullivan, who was like a daughter to her, and a host of nieces and nephews.
