Paul Douglas Johnson

Paul Douglas Johnson, born on December 11th, 1954, gained his wings and joined his wife with the lord on January 23rd, 2023, at the age of 68.

Paul’s love and knowledge of vehicles fueled his lifelong career as a mechanic. He believed he had a great sense of humor and was hilarious! He loved it when someone would “encourage” his dad jokes.

Most days you would find him relaxing in one of his many flannel buttons down shirts petting one of his favorite cats.

He found beauty in the simplicity of lighthouses, the fun in Star Wars collectables, Faith and hope in God, and the Greatest of these Love of his Family.

“We grieve because we love. How lucky we are to have experienced that love.”

His absence is what we feel now but remembering his love as a dad, paw paw, and Friend is what will get us through our toughest days.

Paul was survived by his children Christina Johnson, Ashley (David Dick) Clark, Jimmy (Jennifer) Clark, Derrick Johnson, Lacee (Dewayne) Touchstone and Tabatha (Derrick) Sanders; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Erlene Johnson, 3 sisters Evelyn McGowan, Francis Boyle, and Caroline Chaney, granddaughter Emmaleigh Smith, and loving wife of 31 years Patricia (Beaubouef) Johnson.

A memorial service/celebration of life will be held for Paul at the Covenant Community Church on Greenwell Springs Road in Greenwell Springs LA on February 11th at 11:00 am visitation, followed by 12:00 pm service and reception and open to all who wish to attend.

Special thanks to Church Funeral Services and Covenant Community Church for all your support and direction!
