Peggy Ducey Fedoroff died peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, under the care of Magnolia Assisted Living in Gonzales, Louisiana, surrounded by love and prayers.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Judge Gerald P. Fedoroff; her parents, Elmo and Marguerite Ducey; and her two older sons, Ivan P. Fedoroff and James D. Fedoroff.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothea R. Ducey; her daughter, Catherine Fedoroff Elisar (Don); her son Christopher A. Fedoroff (Gerri); her daughter-in-law, Odette Falzon-Fedoroff (Chris); her grandchildren Marijana Fedoroff MacDonald (Robert), Sarah Elisar McCann (Lance), Michael S. Elisar, Stephanie R. Fedoroff, Juliette M. Fedoroff, Gabrielle K. Fedoroff, and Nichole Elisar Gautreau (Justin); her great-grandchildren Catherine L. McCann, Jack R. McCann, Averie-James MacDonald, and Clyde J. Gautreau; and her devoted friend and caregiver Virginia Sawyer.
Peggy was born on November 16, 1933, and lived most of her life in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University and her Masters in Social Work from Tulane University. She was in private practice as a therapist for many years and helped countless adults, children, and families.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church located at 6666 Spanish Fort Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124 on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at St. Vincent De Paul Mausoleum, 1401 Louisa Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70117.
