Peggy Lee Hester
A ceremony celebrating the life of Peggy Lee Hester will be held on Thursday January 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Grays Creek Baptist Church, visitation will begin at 12 noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Felder’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester was born in Tylertown, MS on February 17, 1955, and departed from this life on Tuesday January 10, 2023, at The Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice at the age of 67 years.
She was a resident of Denham Springs and a devoted faithful member of Grays Creek Baptist Church. Her favorite past time was time spent on her front porch, she had an abounding love for her Lord, and a special love for her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Archie and Norma Brady Shoemaker, siblings Butch, Red, and Joan Shoemaker, Jeannie Gerald, and Stacey Jones.
Survivors include her children Johnny and Lydia Fairchild, Robert Lee Hester, and Kayla Hester, siblings June and Johnny Cotton, Rickey Shoemaker, and Bam and Polly Gerald, grandchildren Falynn, Dylan, Gage, Jayden, Brady, and Braxon, great grandchildren Amelia and Brantley, also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
