Philip Henry Lemmler, Jr., 65, a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Baton Rouge, peacefully surrounded by family after his battle with cancer. He was born in Denison, TX, before living in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge. He settled with his loving wife of 30 plus years in Gonzales, LA. Philip was a master carpenter.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Joan Lemmler; and brother, William Lemmler.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Sanchez Lemmler; his children, Philip H. Lemmler, III (Jamee), Dana Bourgeois (Ancil), Bret Villar (Diana), and Ryan Villar (Angela); his 6 grandchildren, Drake, Scott and Victoria Lemmler, Haylie and Kaci Bourgeois, and Baylen Villar; and 5 great-grandchildren, Luke, Brantley, Lukas, Harley, and Kenzie. He is also survived by his siblings, Deanne Richard, Shelley Dedeaux, Charlotte Couvillon, Laurie Culmone, and Leslie Bordelon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 La 621, Gonzales, LA, on Friday, February 23, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until Mass at 11:00 am.
